Save Cedar Creek Lake is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) coalition founded in early 2026 by lake residents, business owners, and Henderson County neighbors. No paid staff, no outside consultants, no political action committee. We helped stop the Diode Ventures data center, and we are still here to keep the lake’s water from being sold to the next one.
One. The lake is the reason this community exists, and protecting its water is a non-partisan civic obligation. Property owners, business owners, retirees, weekenders, and full-time residents all have the same fundamental interest in the lake remaining a lake, with its water in it and not sold off to industrial users.
Two. Industrial land use should be sited where industrial infrastructure exists, where the affected community has consented through ordinary public process, and where enforceable rules protect shared resources like water and the grid. These are conservative positions on land use. They are not radical.
Three. The only effective answer to a well-funded, well-coordinated siting effort is a well-organized community. We don't outspend; we outshow up. Public process is our friend if we use it.
